OSNKU Winter Bridge Academy 2024-2025
Purpose
The OSNK United Bridge Academy provides a developmental “pathway” between recreational and competitive soccer for the aspiring and passionate youth soccer player.
Goal
To provide instructional training for up-and-coming recreational players wanting to learn soccer’s essential, foundational techniques. Ultimately, players build confidence, skill, and passion for the game; using them as a springboard for future competitive soccer opportunities at OSNKU.
Program Snapshot
The Bridge Academy is a “clinic-style” training program focused on foot-skills, ball control, and body mechanics. The progressive curriculum combines dynamic skill stations with fun small-sided game play in a player-friendly environment. It is worth noting, the program is not a continuation of our Fall Recreational Program nor is it an informal, after-school activity. The program is geared towards motivated girls and boys who are ready to learn and practice.
Coaching Staff
Our Academy Director is Sunjay Patil. For 8 years, Coach Sunjay has been overseeing the Winter Bridge Academy program while being a OSNKU competitive coach. He will be an on-and-off the field presence this winter.
Our Head Coach is Aaron Auslander. Coach Aaron is the Director of Technical Training at OSNKU and holds a USSF C License, a Coerver Youth Diploma, and a variety of USC certifications. We are excited to have Coach Aaron’s experience as a former ODP coach and current collegiate coach guiding our curriculum and training sessions.
Coach Aaron will have the assistance of fellow OSNKU Coaches and experienced collegiate and high school players on the field. These younger coaches are great mentors and bring a unique energy and vibe to the program.
