Purpose
The OSNK United Bridge Academy aims to create a developmental "BRIDGE" (pathway) between our recreational and competitive programs for the aspiring, motivated youth soccer players. The program provides instructional training for up-and-coming recreational players wanting to learn soccer’s essential technical skills. Ultimately, players learn foundational techniques, build confidence, and feel their passion for the game ignite.

The Bridge Academy welcomes both GIRLS and BOYS in the following ages brackets:
U7 - Aug 1, 2019 – July 31, 2020
U8 - Aug 1, 2018 – July 31, 2019
U9 - Aug 1, 2017 – July 31, 2018
U10 - Aug 1, 2016 – July 31, 2017
U11 - Aug 1, 2015 – July 31, 2016
U12 - Aug 1, 2014 – July 31, 2015
* U6 - Aug 1, 2020 – July 31, 2021 by invitation only *

6-week session including technical training and small sided games

Projected World Cup Tournament
Thursday @ 5-7 pm (2 hour)
March 4th (U7-U9) & March 11th (U9/10-U12)
(Dates and times may be subject to change in the event of unexpected logistical conflicts (weather, coaching availability, field conflicts))
All training session will be held at the Wide World of Indoor Sports (1610 Davisville Road, NK)

Key Registration Notes
Player enrollment is on a first-come first-serve basis.
15-20 players are waitlisted each session every year
Players will grouped according to birth-year: U6-U9 and U9/10-U12 *
* Please realize that based on enrollment numbers, some U8/U9/U10 players may be placed in a older or younger group to balance on numbers
Coaching Staff
Our Academy Director is Sunjay Patil. Coach Sunjay has been overseeing the Bridge Academy program for 8+ years.
He also serves as head coach of the Girls U13 competitive team and Vice President at OSNKU.
He will have both an on and off the field presence this winter.
Our Master Coach is Aaron Auslander. We are excited to have Coach Aaron’s experience as a former ODP coach and current collegiate coach guiding our curriculum and training sessions.
The Academy will have on field coaching support from current North Kinsgtown High School and OSNK United Premier Competitive players. This blended staff provides a unique energy and vibe to the program.
Coach the Coaches Program
A secondary and important goal of the Bridge Academy is to provide guidance and educational tools for recreational coaches looking to advance their knowledge and experience in the game. Not only does volunteering in the Bridge Academy help support on-field needs, but recreational coaches gain valuable insights that can be utilized in a multitude of ways. Coaches walk away with a wealth of drills, coaching tips, and perspectives that can be used during the spring rec season and/or in a future role as a competitive coach.
The Bridge Academy coaching experience has helped transition countless rec coaches to competitive soccer over the years and is looked at favorably and with great interest when assigning coaches to competitive teams.
