2020 Fall Recreational Program
After receiving updated, recent guidance from Soccer Rhode Island, we are happy to report that we will be offering a Fall Recreation Soccer Season to our supportive community. The continuing circumstances surrounding COVID-19 has forced us to restructure the way our recreational soccer will run for the Fall 2020 season. In spite of the modified structure, we are confident that the interim program design will provide a fulfilling soccer experience. We did not want to cancel the session, as we feel strongly that the players in our community deserve the chance to play and develop.
While “games” in the full/traditional sense are not currently permitted - practices, training, and scrimmages amongst stable groups are allowed. We are ongoing in our evaluation of the guidance given for youth sports and will consider modifying the season format if restrictions are relaxed.

U4s: Our U4 program is designed to introduce players to the game of soccer and allow children to become comfortable with the ball at their feet. Children will participate in games and activities that are entertaining while teaching basic soccer skills.
U6s: Our U6 program continues to have fun while building upon basic soccer skills (ball control, foot skills) and introduces passing, movement, and spacing. These children will begin to learn the rules of the game.
U8s and above: These programs will continue to build upon the fundamentals of soccer and will begin to teach more passing and team skills with advanced ideas of spacing and tactics.
All clinics will be held at Quonset Development Fields and enrollment in each session is limited to allow for COVID stable groups and quality instruction time for each player. For those of you unfamiliar with these fields, they are located in Quonset past Wide World of Indoor Sports (WWIS). The exact address is 34 Camp Thomas Way however it does not show up in most GPS systems. Please use the intersection of Cross Park Ave and Babcock Road.
Developing our players and giving them a safe place to play, improve, and be active is top priority. Once the season is closer, we will communicate social distancing guidelines for families.
